$100 a Day Side Hustles

Having a side hustle that makes $100 a day can quickly add up over time.
Twice a week = $800 a month or $9,600 a year.
Three times a week = $1,200 a month or $14,400 a year.
The problem is most side jobs aren’t worth your time, and you’ll end up outworking your pay. To ensure this doesn’t happen to you, below is a list of side jobs that actually have potential.
…and no drop shipping isn’t one of them.
I’ve done some of these myself, others I know folks who do them, and a few I think just have good potential. Let’s get into it 👇
Side Hustle Ideas
Rent out tools – A lot of people need tools for one-off projects but don’t want to spend hundreds on equipment they’ll rarely use. If you’ve got power tools, lawn gear, or even specialty equipment lying around, you can list them for short-term rental on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.
Start a local newsletter – Think of this like a digital hometown paper. Share upcoming events, real estate listings, interviews with local business owners, or highlights from school sports.
Once you’ve built an audience, monetize with local ads. Platforms like Beehiiv make it simple to set up and send. Here is a look at average ad rates.

Ref or umpire games – Youth sports leagues are always looking for refs and umpires, and the pay can be surprisingly good. My college roommate did this for beer money and was paid ~$100 per little league game. You get to watch some ball, and get paid…just have to deal with screaming parents.
Handyman or fixer services – If you’ve got carpentry skills, handy in electrical work, or can fix small engines, there’s endless demand for your help. People pay well for someone who can hang TVs, build shelves, repair lawnmowers, or even fix old boat motors (check out “Boat Busters” on Youtube).
Social media management – Boomers business owners are not good with social media but they are starting to realize the importance of having an online presence.
That’s where you come in. Offer to create content and manage posting for them. For a small monthly fee per client, you could build a steady income. Who thought you could get paid to TikTok?!

Teach AI to businesses – Tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and AI agents are powerful. The problem is most people have no clue how to use them effectively. Teach business owners how to automate customer support, write emails, or create content faster. This could potentially also be tied in with social media management.
(I’m trying to get better in this space myself and have thought about paying someone to teach me all the latest AI tricks.)
Sell your skills – Think about the expertise you already have. Are you an accountant, web designer, CPA, or even just really skilled at a hobby? Package that knowledge into a course, mentorship program, digital download. People will gladly pay to skip the long learning curve. Use a platform like Gumroad to sell any digital products.
Another route is tutoring as students constantly need help passing classes or prepping for tests. Rates often start at $30-$50 an hour. If you are near a college or university, this is an easy way to make $100 a day.
Sell on Etsy – Etsy is a built-in marketplace for unique and creative goods. Unlike Amazon, where you’re competing with massive brands and overseas sellers, Etsy shoppers are looking for handmade, niche, or custom items. You can sell physical products like crafts, home goods, or even digital downloads like templates and printables.
One of my most successful business was an Etsy shop I ran with my brother and a couple friends selling custom koozies.
Conclusion
No matter who you are, you likely have a skill or unique knowledge that someone else is willing to pay for.
Hopefully there was at least one idea in this list you think is worth trying out.
