Side Cash
Well done you survived Christmas, now just for New Year’s and we can ease into 2021.
So far the week has been relatively quiet it seems. Bitcoin has continued it’s run thanks to everyone putting their Christmas money from Grandma in it.
Personally, I haven’t made any big moves besides adding to a few ETFs. I know, call me boring but I’m sticking to my guns of 50/50 stocks and ETFs in the new year.
This email is a quick list of five side hustles you could take up if looking to earn some cash on the side.
Don’t worry I’m not going to tell you to spend 5 hours doing online survey’s everyday.

- Herbert Bayard Swope
Now while this likely won’t make you the next Jeff Bezos over night they all have the potential to put a few extra dollars in your pockets.
So shall we begin?
Online Side Hustles
I’m going to include anything online under the same category just to keep this list condensed. If you want a more in detailed list of online side hustles let me know and I can get an email together covering that.
You can find something you like here.
Build an audience
Ghostwrite
Start an online store
Proofread
Web design
Edit photos or videos
Write resumes
Create an affiliate site
If it’s online, someone will pay you to do it.
From my experience I can say that online income is slower to build up where as some of the others on this list will allow you to start earning immediately.
Despite this, having an online income source can be great due to the time and location flexibility.
Car Detailing
This is one that can be very lucrative and has a great scaling potential. I know those who pay $100-$300 to get their vehicles detailed.
A quick trip to your local Walmart and you can have the needed supplies to get started.
Start out with a basic service and then upgrade your cleaning packages as you earn more and can afford better equipment. Eventually one could even hire others to do the work making this an extremely passive little business.
Being A Tutor
Coming from the college setting I can tell you that tutors get paid well. Whether it be for college kids, or high school students, a market does exist.
If you are well educated in a certain topic or subject consider making a post in a local Facebook group or verbally sharing with those around you that you are looking to tutor.
This could potentially be done online through recorded videos or zoom calls, though in person is easily the simplest option for getting started.
Re-sell Items
This has been one of my favorites in the past when looking to make a few extra hundred bucks. Local garage sales, any store where people take used goods, Facebook marketplace, craigslist (lots of scammers watch out) are all places to look for items that can be flipped.
A strategy I use to do for phone flipping was message 5-10 phone sellers a very low price. Some will ignore you but you’ll find those just looking to get rid of their devices. Do some background research on this so you know what to look for if flipping phones.
Another strategy is to raid the garage or storage shed of all your friends and family. If you find something with value they never use offer to pay them a small price.
Landscaping
Under this one I’m going to include everything from brush clean up and mowing yards to cleaning windows. If you are aren’t afraid to get outside and get your hands dirty consider looking into doing landscaping.
This is a side hustle where you can build up monthly customers and increase recurring pay. Eventually, similar to car detailing, one could hire out employees to do the majority of the work for them.
Something to note is that the equipment needed is more expensive but considering borrowing someone else’s until you can afford to get your own.

Now the moment of truth….
If you get anything out of this email…
