Yo, my friend. Hope all is well.

Just FYI I have a new YouTube video premiere set for Friday the 16th at 9am CT. This is the first premiere I’m trying so we’ll see how it goes (might be the first and last).

In the video I share exactly how I reached my first $100K invested. I’ll also be in the chat during the premiere to answer any questions, hope to see ya there. 🤙

351 Days To Go

Pump the brakes, 2026 is already 4% over.

To start the year I always like consuming a variety of different podcasts and videos to see where people are placing bets for the upcoming 365 days.

Since everyone else is doing it, I figured I would throw my two cents in as well.

Here are my predicted winners…and losers.

Predictions

No fluff here, let’s rattle them off.

  • Biggest business winner over the next 12–24 months

    • Companies not involved with AI manufacturing that find innovative ways to apply AI. Aka the other 493 companies in the S&P 500.

    • Companies in the defense sector. Seems like military activity is picking up and Trump is ready to throw dollars at the industry.

  • Biggest business loser over the next 12–24 months

    • Traditional media and normal TV. Every year it seems like folks are shifting to more news and entertainment from sites like YouTube, X, and TikTok. I think it only accelerates from here.

  • Best performing asset from here

    • I love my ETFs like QQQ and VOO but if I had to pick one individual stock (not advice) I would go Amazon.

  • Worst performing asset from here

    • This is tough. I don’t like betting against anything, but I think that housing prices will see a significant slowdown.

  • Most underrated trend the market is missing

    • Stealing this from the All-In pod but think that Polymarket and betting is only going to get bigger.

  • Most overhyped narrative right now

    • Hot take, AI agents replacing people. A lot of these applications are just not cut out yet to fully replace individuals. Yes, they can do the job of others, but it requires someone with knowledge on how to train, prompt, and correct the AI first.

  • One thing investors are too complacent about

    • Massive S&P 500 returns. The last 5 years have been great. I would like for it to keep up, but after so many years above average I wouldn’t be shocked if smaller returns are seen.

  • One thing investors are too fearful about

    • Another major war. Seems like this administration (right-now) wants to avoid drawn-out wars.

Conclusion

Those are my quick predictions.

As always, this is not financial advice.

I'm mostly investing in boring ETFs but still enjoy keeping up with the market, spotting trends…and monitoring situations.

Cade’s Picks

$100K with Christmas Lights - It is past the holiday season but the UpFlip channel did a great job with this video. The 20 year old who runs this six figure business spilt the beans on his marketing tactics, interacting with customers, and what materials his company uses for Christmas light installation.

Besties 2026 Predictions - Here is the link to the All-In pod where Sacks, Chamath, Friedberg, and Jason chat it up about how they think this year is going to play out. It’s always interesting to see where rich folks are putting their money.

Not All ETFs Are Created Equal - In case you haven’t seen it here is a video I put out on seven factors I use to analyze ETFs. Chump Change subscribers aren’t allowed to buy bad ETFs in 2026.
