3 Money Tools You Need

Welcome back folks.

Today is going to be a quick one, but potentially one of the most helpful.

We have all been there. Swiping through pages of apps where each does something a little different. You’d figure in 2023 there would be a one stop shop for all your finances.

Sorry to bust your bubble because I haven’t found this “one” yet, but I have narrowed it down to my main three.

And no I’m not shilling you a bunch of affiliate links…none of these platforms have got back with me about partnering *opens empty wallet.

Let’s get into it 🤝

Empower (Personal Capital)

No that’s not my net worth…yet.

If there was a one size fits all when it comes to investing platforms Empower is about as close as your can get.

Budget planning, financial calculators, and retirement guidance is just a few of the features they offer.

My favorite by far though is the investing dashboard. This part of the website allows you to track all of your investing accounts in one place. It’s quite nice having a single tab to see performance and holdings across all accounts.

Especially helpful for the investing nerds like me who like to try all the new platforms 😅

EveryDollar

If you have read some of my previous content you know I’m not a huge fan of a strict budget.

What I do recommend though is tracking your spending on a monthly basis or at least for a handful of months out of every year. This is a great habit to keep yourself in check and make sure you are on a good financial path.

EveryDollar is the app that I use to do just that. It loads fast (underrated benefit for an app you need to pull up quickly), and is easy to navigate.

They do offer a feature to automatically track your spending, but I prefer to do it manually. You know, just to make it sting a little bit more when I decide to buy another pack of fishing lures.

P.S. I have a buddy who uses the desktop version and says it’s really good. So I’ll take his word for it incase you are a computer only type of guy.

Twitter

Yeah I said it. Twitter.

If you were anything like me Twitter was a place for meme chats with your boys, talking trash about sports, and reading hot political takes.

Nowadays though, it’s one of my main resources for investing content. It’s all in who you follow. If you don’t want to go full rogue and create a separate account Twitter has this cool feature called “lists.”

On mobile: Click your profile → Lists → Create List (bottom right)

This will help you separate the World Star videos from Tesla’s earnings.

I’ll get together a list in the future and send it out on this email but for now feel free to scroll through who I follow to jump start your list with some good investing and finance accounts.

Conclusion

I hope you found this helpful. As I mentioned above I have finally setup the referral program for this email.

The 12 Money Tools download builds off this list and includes everything from investing education to AI financial assistants.

(Please don’t just add your other two dead emails to get the download. Yes, I’m guilty of it too).

Hit up a couple people you’d like to win with financially. At minimum you can enjoy the memes together.

Stay classy out there. ~ Cade

Cade's Finds

Simple Portfolios - Market Sentiment put out a free piece this week on different portfolio styles with a history of performance for each. Hint hint…ETFs and chill is a good option.

Country Clubs on Steroids - Interesting thread on some of the top country clubs in the United States with private air strips. This takes “lets go play a round” to a whole different level.
