Mid Year Review

Hey there folks, sorry for leaving you hanging last week.

Did I do something epic, or have a super awesome experience that caused me to not send an email? Nope.

In true hustle culture fashion, I got slammed at work and had to log some extra hours that ended up cutting into my writing time. We love a good 9-5, but last week was a tough one. (No pressure but don’t unsubscribe I’m counting on you to do this for a living one day)

Sticking with the theme of time flying, we are halfway through 2023. Don’t blink. Given the unplanned break, I figured now would be a good time to give a mid-year update on the email and what you can expect over the next six months.

To start off we are almost at 5,000 SUBSCRIBERS! The goal was to hit 5k by July, and while we are just shy, we will count it as a win (yes, the click-through rate is lacking but it’s fixable). We’ll shortly cross the 100 posts mark and close in on 100,000 impressions. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at my Beehiiv dashboard.

Seriously though, thank you for being a subscriber. Sharing my thoughts on finance, investing, and business with you every week is something I thoroughly enjoy and hope you find helpful, or at least entertaining.

Changing lanes.

For those who have been around since late last year, you might remember me saying this…

Well, plans slightly changed. The game plan shifted to growing to 5,000 subs before making any branding decisions. Now that we are knocking on the door of that milestone, the time has come to brand this bad boy.

And I need your help.
